20 Years old Killed By Lover

Police arrested the accused on Thursdayf rom his native town.Police found the victim with evidence of CCTV footage of a car heading towards the site, and call record details .

The accused person identified as  N Pramod Kumar,25,an MBA graduate  and native of Doddahinduvadi, Kollegal taluk of Chamarajanagar district, based on the bottles at the crime spot and call detail recordsThe woman’s half-burnt body was found inside a manhole at RT Nagar, a layout in West Mysuru being developed by Mysuru Urban Development Authority, on December 22 last. She was attacked, killed, and her body set ablaze after being was thrown into the manhole.

“The case was challenging but our officers have done a commendable job,” said SP Abhinav Khare. The team led by DSP Amte Vikram, inspector D Ashok, Jayapura SI S Gangadhara and staff will be rewarded for their efforts.

Police  identified the victim as, Kruthika Devi, 20, a BCom student, only after the arrest of Pramod Kumar.

Pramod and Kruthik became friends through a common friend over telephone, two months ago. As both were from Kollegal, they became phone friends and spoke for several weeks till their first meeting. Later, their friendship turned into love but Pramod, who is from an affluent family, was already engaged to be married.Jayapura police said Kruthika began pestering Pramod, a small-time financier, to marry her, which forced him to take this drastic step to ‘save’ his family name. Pramod, who lived in Mysuru, brought her to city four days before the murder, and housed her in a city lodge. He tried to convince her but when she stood her ground, he decided to eliminate her. He took her to the secluded place where he usually partied with friends, and killed her.
