Delhi Police submits report to MHA on beef raid incident at Kerala House

Ommen ChandyReacting to this, Kerala Chief Minister Ommen Chandy rejected the explanation given by Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi, he said, “I don’t accept the explanation like this. Delhi police violated all the formalities and the law on ban on cow meat. We want to know the response of the Prime Minister and Home Minister. If they stick to their stand we will take legal action.”

Delhi police has detained Hindu Sena worker Vishnu Gupta, the man who filed the complaint. He had been held for raising a false alarm.

Controversy had erupted over Delhi police personnel entering Kerala House on October 26 following a complaint that cow meat was being served there. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had condemned the “raid” even as buffalo meat was taken off the state-run guest house’s menu on Tuesday.
