Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan on Monday participated in the ‘Grama Jyothy’ programme here and made enquiries about the functioning of the initiative that aims for comprehensive rural development.
While attending the ‘Grama Jyothy’ programme in Kishan Nagar and Haji Pally villages of Faruq Nagar mandal in the district, the Governor interacted with village development committees and members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) knowing their functioning and development activities.
‘Grama Jyothy’ is a new programme launched by the Telangana government for a comprehensive development of the villages in the state.
State’s IT and Panchayat Raj Minister KT Rama Rao was present on the occasion.
He had last week invited the Governor to participate in the programme.
