Woman committed suicide and killed 3 girl childs due to gender bias

girlAccording to the police, Vaishali Umesh Mokashi ,24 year old from Pune’s Kusegaon village committed suicide because she felt frustrated after giving birth to three girl childs. Police said that Vaishali is a native of Kusegaon in Daund taluka. She married farmer Umesh Mokashi of Bhivadi in Purandar taluka of Pune district in 2009. She first gave birth to a girl named Ishwari alias Mallika, who was now about two and a half years old. Police said she had come to her maternal home in Padvi-vasti in Kusegaon, for second delivery a few months back. About two months back she gave birth to twin girls. Police said that sometime before 11 am on Saturday, Vaishali first killed the twin girls by drowning them in a tub full of water in her house. She then held another her daughter Ishwari and jumped into a well located near by. Her dead body was recovered along with Iswari’s from the well around 11 am on Saturday. Police said there was no suicide note found.

It was happened a few days after the Prime Minister launched the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign .It is not only the duty of government to protect baby child but also the people must get change in their psychology about gender bias.
