On expected lines, Opposition leaders have criticised the Union Budget 2015 presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Parliament on Saturday, with party president Sonia Gandhi terming it as a “pro-corporate” one.
Congress Lok Sabha MP Kamal Nath said this has only been the Budget of commissions, committees and promises. “It’s a disappointing Budget. It doesn’t stimulate the economy. It only talks about setting new committees,” he said.
Another Congress Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor called it an anti-poor Budget. “It is about words and rhetorics,” he said.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule termed the Budget as “disappointing”. “They could have done much more,” she said.
Rajya Sabha Congress MP Ashwini Kumar alleged that there was no relief for common man. “This is for the rich corporate sector. This Budget is nothing more than jugglery of words,” he said.
