Hyderabad: First time in the history of the assembly 11 Opposition MLAs from Telugu Desam suspended from the Telangana Legislative Assembly for the whole Budget session on Monday.
As soon as the House started on Monday, Legislative affairs Minister T. Harish Rao asked the MLAs who had shown disrespect to the National Anthem on March 7 by standing on benches and shouting slogans should say unconditional apologies.
Eventhough , the MLAs neglected this caution and raised a protest in the podium demanding government protection for the rights of SCs and STs.
Mr Harish Rao repeatedly said that if the TDP members refused to apologise then serious action would be initiated against them.
As there is no response from the TDP MLAs, Speaker Madhusudhana Chary suspended the MLAs. The suspended MLAs denied to leave the Assembly subsequently, marshals were called to force out them.
