An Indian-origin British journalist has been arrested by British Transport Police (BTP) on charges relating to paedophilia after a sting operation in London. Hasan Suroor was caught on camera as he was confronted by members of Unknown TV, organisers of the sting operation, while he allegedly waited for a 14-year-old girl on Monday.
“A 65-year-old man has been charged with meeting a child following sexual grooming,” a BTP spokesperson said. Suroor is set to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court this week. According to reports, a member of the anti-paedophile vigilante group, Unknown TV, posed as a 14-year-old and allegedly solicited Suroor on social media.
